The YVR CORE Program was developed to improve and upgrade aging heating, cooling and electrical infrastructure at YVR while supporting the Airport Authority’s commitment to sustainability and provide an enhanced experience for customers while addressing terminal expansion and increased capacity requirements to support the Airport Authority’s 2037 Master Plan. Construction work has begun in 2018 and is targeted for completion by 2022.
Ground Transportation Facilities (GTF) which includes a new parkade, ramps and passenger bridges to expand car rental and public parking.
Sustainable Energy System (SES) including mechanical infrastructure upgrades to support the entire Terminal complex including three new pump nodes and upgrades to major air handling systems
Central Utilities Building (CUB) will be constructed to house new mechanical and electrical infrastructure and replace the existing Utilities Building and both Terminal mechanical plants.
